indianer part twoooo.
hey y'all. here's part two of my trip to indiana. now tomorrow i'm off to florida and then the caribbean for a week or so. so this week there'll be no new updates. but what you can expect to see in the next few weeks are some updates from northern indiana, some weird freakin' insects, and then some cool islands in the caribbean. ok? you know, suddenly it's like, "wow, i'm in my thirties." you know what? i'm goin' to live 'em to the fullest. so, i'm outta here tomorrow. in the meantime, enjoy these historical and hysterical pictures... then just you wait for parts three and four!!! xoxo
so on the way home from the casino in southern indiana, we drove along the ohio river, which, of course, is the southern border of indiana, ohio, and even kentucky. yee-haw! that's coal goin' down the river on a barge.
the county our riverboat casino is in is called switzerland county. there' s a large swiss population there and they proudly fly the swiss flag along the usa flag and the state flag of indiana. this building was once a church, and is now a museum.
there. less typing for me.
there's another museum next door where you can see the history of life on the ohio as well as look up family geneology.
toot-toot!
again, ya'll, i'm obsessed with the courthouse in greensboro, indiana.
look at that tobacco grow!
there's a cute little amish girl there at the same house i saw that cute little amish boy... they always seem to catch you with the camera... even when you're driving! it's like they sense electronics!
caught this hot amish guy wearin' oakleys! i guess because they don't plug in...
when i got home, i met up with my best girl mandi. she grew up three doors down from me. every year we get together and do something outrageous. we started the night a bw3's (cause there's nowhere else to friggin' go!! deerrrk-a-durrr!!)
one of mandi's older sisters, rachel, showed up. i was so relieved to find that she was still a beautiful girl. so many of these anderson, indiana girls hit thirty and go to shit. it's like they get off work, go home, get on the couch, then go to bed. uh-uh. not my girls. stayin' hot til they're dead. and they've both got men. i'm not jealous but...
"come on straight boy!! you want summa this!?!?!?"
you see, there's not a lotta good men left in ol' andertucky, so sisters've gotta share! lol!
and if the boys leave ya, then please yourself!!!! i love you mandi you crazy mama!!
the next day i drove my totally hungover ass to indianapolis to hang with my great friend ryan.
now, i know these pictures are goofy, but this guy in the car next to us kept trying to pull up next to us and get in the picture.
there's like ten of these and he only managed to get his face in one. we ended up running into him later at a bar. go figure.
ryan and his guy.
mmmmmm dinner on trendy massachusettes avenue downtown indy.
a quick shot of downtown indy.
i met up with my girls at metro bar downtown. see you in miami maria!!!!!!!!
i love y'all!!
ok. end of part two. i've got an early flight to florida. see y'all for part three of indiana the adventurous little island when i get back from some real islands!!
pray for the people of lebanon and israel. i mean it.

back home again in indianer...
hey kids. how's it going? as y'all know (most of you anyway) i went to indiana to visit family and friends. i took like 800 or more pictures, so i'll have to break this trip up in sections, much like i did with alaska, miami, etc. next week i'm going to the caribbean... won't that be a fun update. lots and lots of poetic skin. and i've been working out at the gym now for a year and a half, so hopefully i'll look good on the beach! and then again, maybe not! i'm pretty freakin' pale! and about the new book, it's just around the riverbend.
flying is so stupid. i mean, do we really have to get that high?? crap! i had to fly into tulsa, oklahoma, then into kansas city missouri, then into the indianapolis international airport. i rented a pt cruiser convertable and headed towards anderson, indiana, aka "andertucky".
i still have brilliant friends in anderson. they're wonderful people and they like to drink too. some asshole from switzerland sent me an email the other day telling me that i live a crazy life and i'm stupid and that i should slow down and move to switzerland and live a slow paced life. i can't imagine what this guy looks like. lol.
i'm aware that this picture is blurry. but i wanted you to get a sense of what downtown anderson looks like at night. dead dead dead. those are my girls charity (who i hadn't seen in 13 years - gorgeous) and maria from castleton (an indy suburb).
some beautiful new statues downtown that i'm sure no one ever sees- cause there's no one downtown ever!
so we gave the girls some overdue attention! (drunk people... roll eyes here...)
no ma'am!
respectfully so...
you gotta eat at the shitty golden house. it's just as you'd imagine it on the inside, ornate plastic decorations, terrified goldfish, and lots of water chestnuts. (it's actually got really tasty food).
trying to find someplace to drink after midnight!
charity needs a drink too.
we went to the days inn cause there's a bar in there. they closed early. no one was there.
pub and eatery my ass. look at me still on the phone. i was talking to my boy omar in willis, texas.
the next morning (ugh, early) my mom and stepdad took me to southern indiana to go riverboat gambling.
barns like this are everywhere. sometimes i miss seeing this scenery everyday. and then some days it's like "thank the good lord i live in a big city!"
we drove through amish country.
the amish.
if you look very closely, you'll see a horse in the center of the picture. to the right of the horse is a little amish boy in suspenders. too cute.
you may remember this clocktower from last year's indiana update. we passed through greensboro and i had to get a picture of it with leaves.
my mom wanted to get a picture of me outside the damm theatre. lol
"git in tha car kids. we gotta git to tha damm thatre!"
the ohio river.
a few more miles down the road is belterra, indiana where the riverboat casino is. (where i'm about to win some money bitches!)
after gambling all night with my mom and stepdad, i woke up (oddly) at about 6am to this gorgeous scene.
ok. take me home. i'm fried. too many smokes and drinks and gambling. i better get to church!
ok lovers, part two of the indiana update is coming in a few short days...
xoxo pray for lebanon and israel.
