new orleans (part two)
ouch!!!!
ok. let's talk beignets. i don't like sweets, but beignets are a must in new orleans
for breakfast with coffee. i recommend cafe du monde for this southern treat.
yes, they're hot!! here's my girl michelle tearing into one.
and speaking of michelle, well, she's just one popular mama.
she was leaving signs and starting new businesses everywhere.
the following is a small example of such.
what if they lose a door!!?? sure am glad michelle wrote it twice!!
no, thank you michelle. i wouldn't want to drop a booger in the hot sauce.
i just think michelle is quite the entrepreneur.
and if you've been good and kept up with my site, you'll know that i have a knack for finding
poop. it's true. watch out in new orleans. it's everywhere, and yet, ignored.
"road apples" my father used to say...
um, hey dude...
there's no need to post a comment here.
on the banks of the mississippi.
doesn't look so appetizing now, does it??
hey kids!! don't masturbate or you'll end up like this guy!!
thanks for playing- more to come tomorrow or thursday...
oooooo!! and a new poem too! (finally, i know. thanks for the emails y'all.)

new orleans (part one)
ghosts of new orleans and then some...
so, as you know, this is the whole reason for the trip.
ah, and now for the creepy stuff.
in the house we stayed in, there was a chandelier with one light out. the pictures
i took of the house showed the one light on for some reason but off in the reflection.
ghosts don't have reflections, and neither do ghostly lights, i suppose.
this is the chandelier i bitched about because one of the lights were out.
but not in the picture... hmmm...
and here is the chandelier taken ten seconds later in the mirror with the light out.
i didn't notice any of this until i got home. freaked me out a little. all the pictures
were like this. reflection was normal, non-reflection not so normal. and this is the
room i slept in as well.
maybe ghosts do have reflections... i mean, who in the hell is that to the (what would be)
the left of me?? holy shit!
ok. onto part one of the french quarter.
drinking can really cloud your judgement calls when it comes to flirting.
"but i don't get to new orleans very often baby..."
what happens in new orleans stays in new orleans.
new orleans (and louisiana for that matter) are a wonderful mix of english, french, cajun, and deep south swamp culture. it's one of my favourite places.
many billboards are in french- heck, even the welcome sign is in two languages.
it's the only state with a welcome in french. the closest place to find that would be
eastern canada.
one of my favourite buildings... it's all about the ivy.
i mean, wouldn't you be drinking bloody marys on your balcony all day
if you lived here????
ok- that's it for now- part two comes tomorrow.

a trip to the houston zoooooooo!!!
i wish i had time to go everyday. houston has a beautiful zoo and it takes hours to
adventure through it. even in the beginning you can see that the whole zoo is like
a wilderness area...
my tour guide. no! not really!!
it's hard to fathom that somebody this big...
...pooped this small. but there is a lot of it, huh!?
everybody's doin' it!!!
watch out!! he's been eating prunes!!!
i had to tiptoe to get this one... aslan!!!!
it got a bit hot outside so i tried to dry off by a big desert fog fan.
why do these companies have to be so fucking "bad ass"... why didn't they
just call it really big fan? i mean, really, desert fog? that's sooo white lion!!
excuse me!! maybe you could grab me a kleenex and a pair of underwear??
i looove the absurdity of goats. it's one of the highlights of the zoo trip everytime.
they're so much like little people it's uncanny. i would pay the zoo admission fee
just to hang with the goats.
"i don't understand why you won't give me another chance..."
"oh my god!!! i love you too!!!
back together again. "it was just a little misunderstanding everyone. that's all."
just chillin' in the ol' food bowl.
what's that smell!!???
hangin' with funkmaster goat t. yo yo yo!!
goat t. gives his reaction to my white boy rapper impression. bleh!
gorgeous and bewildering spectacled bear.
this little guy followed us around like a lost baby!!
the cute and flirtatious white-bellied bustard.
this reminded me of indiana soooo much.
this guy kept edging into the water, backing up, thinking about it...
he eventually just turned around. du-dump-du-dum. he just wants
to be like his aquatic cousins.
this is the first time i saw daddy orangutan on the ground. he's always
perched high on the jungle gym.
proud momma orangutan watches the newborn!! so cute!!
one of my favourite animals is the okapi. they're extremely rare and endangered, so i thought
i'd put a little info on the site so you wouldn't have to click a link, although you should click
all of my links, buttheads.
lucky zookeeper!! that red thing hanging there is much like a saltlick. these creatures
are amazing, like a mixture of giraffe and zebra.
hello lover!!!
who's got a bigger mouth? (if you know me personally, you'll know the answer.)
i'm one of the few people who think sky rats are gorgeous.
you go girl!!
i got to be a prairie dog. "but daaad, i'm prairie doggin'"
can you spot the giraffe in this picture??
this is the stupidest fucking thing ever. you can't have a mouth and a bill. stupid.
o yeah baby!! did a goat get ahold of my shirt!!??
warning!!! the following is a picture of the horrid, cramped conditions
of the houston zoo. viewer discretion is advised...
inexcusable.
gotta end the day with a snow cone.
only in the south do they glorify such words.
see y'all soon,
xoxo
